For years now I've been trying to teach the kids how to make a proper snowman, but it seems like every time we try the snow isn't the right consistency. Finally we had success about a week ago. Now they can't wait to make more. Today we're in the middle of another snow storm so they just might get their wish.
Emma was quite determined to make one all by herself and for the most part she did, I only gave her a little help with getting her snowballs started and with putting the face and arms on.
These are Andrew's, he was more interested in making a little army than in making a big snowman.
After we were all done he killed them all.
Here is my snowman, made with some assistance from Gordon and Melinda. Melinda picked out the arms and they both helped with adding snow. The best part is that they all thought mom was pretty cool for making a snowman. I have to enjoy that while it lasts, because before you know it they will be teenagers and mom won't be cool anymore.
