Every year Ben's grandparents have a Christmas Eve celebration where they let the grandchildren, and now the great-grandchildren act out the nativity. This year they had almost everyone there and we had to hold it at their church so the kids had a stage to perform on. Andrew was one of the wise men, Gordon was a shepherd and all of the girls were angels. The kids love doing this each year and every year I tell myself that I'm going to make some real costumes for it, but it hasn't happened yet, that is why Becca is just in her purple dress, maybe next year.
We also have a little program
where anyone who wants to can share a talent. I usually have the kids sing a song from the operetta. I'm so proud of them this year, there were a lot of extra people there that they don't see very often and they still got up on stage and did very well. Emma was a little shy and didn't sing out as loud as she does in a group, but I'm hoping that these experiences will be good for them in the long run.
