Playing Catch-Up Andrew's Birthday

So, I'm trying to get everything caught up before I start subbing at the school next month, and I noticed that I haven't posted pictures for Andrew's and Emma's birthdays. I thought I better get that taken care of before their next birthdays.

I can hardly believe that my little boy is 11. It really is hard sometimes to think about how fast they grow up. Everyone tells you to be ready for it, but there just doesn't seem to be any way to prepare yourself for watching a child turn into a young man.


We are so lucky to have Andrew in our little family. He's almost always happy and he gets so excited about every little thing that it's hard not to enjoy life right along with him. He also tries very hard to do what he is asked and sets a good example for his younger brother and sisters.


All that he wanted was a Nerf gun and a checkers game this year. I'm so glad that our kids have relatively simple wants when it comes to birthdays and Christmas, you want to give them what they ask for, but our kids really make it pretty easy (so far). He ended up with two of the guns, one from mom and dad and one from grandma and papa, and he's been so good about sharing with everyone. He's also getting pretty good at checkers, now we just need someone to teach him chess.
Now I need to start preparing myself for 12, it seems like such a big step.
