First Day of School 2011

We just had the first day of school yesterday. The kids were all very excited and ready very early. Even though we had plenty of time, they still weren't very happy about stopping for pictures. I'm glad that they love school.

Andrew is going to the high school now, I can hardly believe that he is in seventh grade. He's proudly showing off the gear that we bought for his locker. It seems like he will enjoy the high school just as much as he did the elementary, I'm glad that he's so positive and able to have fun wherever he is.

Emma is in fifth grade, she just keeps doing better and better at school. Right now her favorite subject is math, I'm so excited for her I think she's going to have a great year.

Melinda is in third grade this year, it's kind of a big year. She's at the age where she needs to start working a little harder and developing good study habits. She has a great teacher though so she should have a great year too.

Gordon is in Kindergarten now! Another big step for our little fighter. He has been waiting for quite a while to go to kindergarten. He's going to have a great year too, I still feel very lucky that all of our kids will get to be taught by their Grandma Grimstead.

Becca will start preschool again in a few weeks and she can hardly wait too. It's going to take some getting used to for her being home all alone in the mornings, but it will be good for her too to learn to entertain herself. Ben will be taking one more semester of classes this fall and then he'll have his second associates. I'm still trying to decide what I'm going to do. I've been thinking about taking some more college classes too, but that won't be until the spring. It's going to be another busy school year, but I'm looking forward to it.
