Wallace Family Camp

This year we finally got to go camping with the Wallace side of the family again. It's been a couple of years so it was really good to see everyone again. It was interesting though, Andrew was sick the first day and Ben got sick before we left for home.



Andrew spent quite a bit of time in this hammock, even though he wasn't feeling well he still kept up on his scripture reading.




Of course it wouldn't be a camping trip if the kids didn't get to play in the dirt. Here we have Katie, Alle, Becca, Gordon, Ella and Aaron.

Emma took several of these pictures including one of me that will not be shared. It gave her something to do since she isn't that interested in playing in the dirt anymore.

Here are Ben and Becca heading down to the lake for a swim, I couldn't resist the photo op.

Gordon loves the water, I was so glad that I was able to find a swim suit that came with a shirt, he's so fair skinned that even with sunblock he tends to burn.

Melinda also loves the water, although how she stays warm in the water with that skinny little body of hers is beyond me.

Andrew is still making progress, slowly but surely, with his swimming. He took the beginning swim class at scout camp this year and learned how to float on his back. I just hope he remembers how when next summer rolls around.

Becca won't go in the water, it's too cold for her, and I think she is bothered that she can't see what is down there. She will sit on the edge and dangle her toes in, but only if mom sits with her.

Emma still isn't super comfortable swimming in the lake either. I think she has the same problem as Becca, she's uncomfortable with what she can't see under the water.

We had to leave a day early, but we still had a lot of fun. I can't wait to go again next year.
