It seems like there is so much happening in December every year that I never get around to posting about it until January. Anyway, we had another great Christmas Eve party this year. The kids always love going to see Grandma and Grandpa Summers and all the cousins, and of course they are still young enough to enjoy helping with the nativity story. This year Andrew was a shepherd and Gordon was a wise man and the girls were all angels.
For our talent the oldest three kids sang "Christmas Is", a song that they sing for their school Christmas play every year. Even though it is one they all know really well Andrew is the only one that really sang out. I guess I shouldn't expect them to want to get up and perform if they don't see mom and dad doing it.
Gordon on the other hand was upset that he didn't get to sing with the older three so he horned in on Aiden and Erik's talent to help them sing Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.
Sweet little Emmit was baby Jesus, Aiden was Joseph and Addi (Nathan and Heidi's little girl) was Mary.
Of course one of our shepherds was a little unruly, he had all the angels in stitches when his hat got turned around and he couldn't see where he was crawling. We all love little Canyon.
