This year only four of the kids were able to take part in the PTO Easter egg hunt. I still have a hard time believing that I have a child in high school. I wasn't sure if Emma would still want to do the egg hunt, but she seemed to have fun. There weren't very many kids at all this year, but they were especially lacking in the older group. There aren't very many kids in the 10-12 age group that still want to do kid things. I'm glad that my kids aren't in too much of a hurry to be grown up.
Here's Emma with her bucket overflowing and stuffing extras in her pockets.
Melinda was a bit of a blur, racing to get the specific toys she wanted.
Gordon was also pretty particular, instead of sticking with one spot and getting a lot he went from here to there picking out only the things he really wanted.
This year Becca went all by herself, she kept looking back at me as if asking "Can I pick this up?"
Later we did something a little different. I hid plastic eggs with glow sticks inside and let the kids have an egg hunt in the dark. They had fun, but I probably won't do this very often, we had to wait until it was pretty late before it was dark enough.
