This year's spring sing and concert was Oldies but Goodies. The kids had a lot of fun learning older songs like "Rockin' Robin" and "Yakkity Yak".
Here's Emma with the 5th and 6th grade band. This was her first year playing the clarinet and she really enjoyed it. I was so proud of how responsible she was about practicing and she's pretty good already. I'm excited to see how much she improves, she already plans on taking band throughout high school because she doesn't want to take drama.
They did a little dancing during one of the songs and Gordon really got into it. I can't get him to dance very often now, but if the right music is on and he thinks that nobody is watching he'll still dance.
Melinda is the little shorty in the pink. She loves music of any kind, she's always humming or whistling something. She spent a lot of time singing the songs for the program around the house before and after the actual concert.
Emma doesn't get into performing even though she has a good voice, but singing with a group is better than talking in front of even a small crowd. It should be interesting to see her in the operetta this year.
This is from Melinda's recorder concert, she's pretty good, but she's excited to learn something new. In fourth grade they might be learning piano or guitar.
