We have been waiting for snow for quite a long time this winter. This is the first time in a long while that I remember not having snow for Christmas. The kids were so excited when it finally came that they didn't even complain about shoveling and they spent quite a while working on their snowmen even though it was still snowing and windy while they were playing.
I'm proud to say that I have creative, if a bit silly, children. Emma's snowman had a horn coming out of it's head because she couldn't find another stick for the arms, she called it her unicorn snowman. Melinda said that her snoman was a mutant, notice the extra eye and the lumps on top of the head.
Andrew was quite proud of his even though it wasn't very big, but the three oldest made them all by themselves this year. Gordon tried making a race car out of snow, but I'll have to go out and help him with it another day.
This is the snowman that I made with Becca, not very big and no accessories, but she was happy with it.
Here she is warming up by the stove, she and I came in quite a bit earlier than the others. I can only handle so much playing in the snow and apparently Becca is the same way.
