Christmas Eve

This is one of those yearly traditions that my kids look forward to all year. I'm glad that they still participate, I'll be a little sad when they decide they are too old to be in the family nativity.

Andrew was Joseph this year and Jentry was Mary with her little brother Jace playing the part of baby Jesus.

My little angels, Emma and Melinda with their cousins Haleigh and Analeigh.

Our shepherds Gordon and Emmitt, and a couple more angels, Becca and Addie.

Our wise men, Erik, Aiden, and Canyon. I'm lucky I got a shot of all three of them together, Canyon didn't want to hold still.

During the talent portion Uncle Richard got Grandma to sing a few Christmas Hymns with him. It was very sweet.

Andrew sang a couple of songs from drama class.

Emma played her clarinet (under protest), I didn't get any pictures of her actually playing because I was holding her music for her. She did a great job, I just hope that she learns to be a little more comfortable with performing because this is only her first year and she's already doing very well. I would hate to see her quit just because she doesn't want to perform in front of people.

Melinda sang her operetta song, but she didn't tell me what she wanted to do beforehand so she didn't have her costume.

Gordon and Erik are lucky that they have each other to perform with, and they are such cute koalas.

This picture is from later that night in their brand new Christmas jammies. Even though they know that's what they're getting they still look forward to it, I guess it's just fun to have new jammies to sleep in on  Christmas Eve. The boys especially loved their matching knights and dragons pj's.
