Halloween

Here are my little goblins! I really do enjoy Halloween, even though it is sometimes a struggle to get five costumes ready and I curse the candy until it is gone, but it is so much fun to see all the costumes and the kids have a lot of fun. This year I didn't make any costumes, I was so busy with school that I couldn't even think about it. Luckily we had two hand me downs from previous years so I only had to buy three.

Here is Becca as Little Red Riding Hood (hand me down from Melinda). I was a little nervous that she wouldn't wear the whole costume, when I first pulled it out of the box she didn't want a thing to do with the cape, but when everyone else started getting decked out she had no problem with it. She absolutely loved the little basket, at the school carnival she put part of her dinner in there for later.

Gordon was BumbleBee, he was the main reason I decided not to sew this year, I didn't even want to think about making a transformer costume. One of his friends from school had the exact same costume, they thought that was really cool.

Melinda was a witch (hand me down from Emma). I was surprised that she didn't have a problem with wearing the same costume Emma did last year, but I'm not complaining. She did have me paint her face green, but I need to invest in some better halloween makeup if we are going to paint faces in the future.

Emma found this costume online, I guess she is a vampire, the label said midnight princess. I think her favorite part was wearing mom's dangly earrings. The black on her lips is actually dad's camo face paint, it worked perfectly.

Andrew was a ninja and just like Gordon there was someone with the exact same costume, only that someone was a 2nd grader and I had trouble telling them apart if I wasn't close. He isn't one bit bothered by his height though and I hope he never is.

Wow, Emma looks "thrilled". Love that girl, and tell her that I said to smile more...she's so beautiful. (I know, she was probably playing the part!)
