Book Club Party

Our school had a book club this year with magic as the theme. Each of my kids read a different book, and then made an art project for the party. Andrew read The Candy Shop War, and this is him with the goblet from the book that he made out of clay.

Emma read The Chocolate Touch, and recreated the cover of the book out of clay. This is her with her best friend and their projects.

Melinda read Sylvester and the Magic Pebble, and made a little sculpture of Sylvester holding the pebble.

All of the kids had a blast at the party, they had discussion groups and played a game kind of like Jeopardy. The best part was several of the teachers dressed up like characters from the books. This is our Superintendent (who also happens to be our bishop), dressed up as Mr. Stott.

This is their music teacher dressed as John Dart.

And best of all this is their principal dressed as Mrs. White. He did such a good job that most of the kids didn't know it was him until the party was almost over.

I hope they are able to do this again next year it was fun for the kids and the parents.
